mentor training
The Peer Up! training manual is designed for facility staff (such as a nurses and social workers) to facilitate training to prepare mentors to function effectively and confidently in their peer relationship. The manual includes planning steps, sample agendas, scripted facilitated learning activities, and handouts for the mentors in training. Also included in this section are two additional materials to be printed before training: a Guide for Mentors, a resource guide for mentors to use both during the training and in their interactions with mentees; and bingo cards for use during the training.
