OSHA Issues New COVID-19 Healthcare Emergency Temporary Standard (ETS)
OSHA has determined employee exposure to SARS-CoV-2, the virus that causes COVID-19, presents a danger to workers in healthcare settings where people with suspected or confirmed COVID-19 are expected to be present. A new emergency temporary standard is being enacted by OSHA with specific requirements for healthcare entities to provide for their workers. The ETS has not been published yet in the federal register, however when it is, facilities will only have 14 days to have a plan in place and another 30 days to be in full compliance.

Subpart U—COVID-19 Healthcare ETS Fact Sheet
WEEKLY NHSN REPORTING IS REQUIRED BY NETWORK 5.
COVID-19 CASES AND VACCINATIONS MUST BE REPORTED BY WEDNESDAY AT 2:00 PM. ET
All facilities are required to report all patient and healthcare providers’ COVID-19 cases and vaccination statuses weekly in NHSN. The reporting week runs Wednesday through Tuesday and facilities are expected to report the information by no later than 2pm every Wednesday for the previous week.

Information on how to report the vaccination data can be found here:
